Which Sedona hikes does the Forest Service rate easy?

11 Sedona trails in this index carry the word "easy" in the difficulty rating printed on the managing agency's own trail page. That word is the agency's, not this index's: Cairn does not grade a trail's difficulty itself. Sedona's official trails are managed by the Coconino National Forest and the City of Sedona; each writes its own difficulty word on its own trail page, not a shared scale across agencies. Every figure here was read from each trail's own managing-agency page and carries the date it was checked; none of these Sedona trail records has been independently field-checked yet. Compiled, not yet confirmed How these figures were compiled is explained below.

What Easy means here

"Easy" is the managing agency's own word for a trail's grade and surface — it is not a rating this index writes or checks. The Forest Service and the City of Sedona each use the word on their own trail pages, and neither publishes a companion scale for who should attempt a trail. This index adds no suitability claim of its own for children, seniors, fitness level or any other group beyond the words the agency itself prints; where an agency's own page calls a trail "family-friendly" or "good for beginners," that wording is quoted, not endorsed. Conditions, footing and heat change with the season and the day, so read the agency's own trail page and check current conditions before you go. If Bell Rock Pathway is the easy one you're leaning toward, the Bell Rock Pathway guide walks through its three SR 179 trailheads and the Pathway-versus-climb choice. Most rows here say a Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful pass is needed to park; the Red Rock Pass guide sorts out which sites take which pass. West Fork's first three miles are rated easy; read the West Fork Trail guide before you drive, since it carries the current Forest Service closure note.
