Should you take a jeep tour or a trolley tour in Sedona?

Cairn lists 9 jeep tour and trolley tour operators in and around Sedona, Arizona: 7 jeep tour operators with listed prices from $59 to $303 USD and 2 trolley tour operators with listed prices from $22.95 to $39.99 USD. 8 listings were compiled from the operators' own websites and are marked unverified until a human confirms them. 1 row is a fabricated sample listing used to demonstrate the page template, not a real business. The short version: trolleys are the inexpensive, paved, narrated overview — an hour or two, board in Uptown, every seat easy. Jeeps cost more and go where the trolley cannot: off-pavement into the backcountry on Forest Service trails, in small groups, from mild scenic runs to genuinely rough rock crawls. Many visitors do the trolley first to learn the town, then pick one jeep trail. Every row below links to a full operator page, and every fact carries the date it was last checked. This comparison was last reviewed on August 29, 2026. Each row shows the date that operator's facts were last checked.

Prices are the lowest listed price per operator; several operators sell private tours priced per person by group size, so small groups pay more than the listed floor. Full tour lists, phone numbers, addresses and hours are on each operator's page.

Every listing

The practical differences

Trolley tours stay on paved roads: narrated sightseeing loops that board in Uptown Sedona, an hour or two long, at the lowest prices in this table. Jeep tours range from paved scenic drives to off-road trail runs in the Coconino National Forest backcountry, in small groups, and cost several times a trolley seat. Several jeep operators sell their tours as private outings priced per person by group size, so a party of two pays more per seat than the listed floor; the exact ranges are in the opening paragraph and in each row, both derived from the operator records.

How this comparison works

Rows are ordered by starting price, lowest first, across both categories; the Type column says which kind of tour each row is. Prices are the lowest published price for each operator and do not include tax, fees or gratuity unless the operator page says so. Nothing on this page is ranked by payment: an operator cannot buy a higher position.

Worth knowing about the brands

Sedona's tour brands overlap more than their storefronts suggest. Four jeep brands — Red Rock Western Jeep Tours, A Day in the West, Sedona Offroad Adventures and Earth Wisdom Jeep Tours — print the same West Sedona tour-center address and contact email on their own sites, and Red Rock Magic Trolley prints that same contact email. Sedona Trolley and Red Rock Magic Trolley are different companies a few doors apart in Uptown. Cairn lists each brand separately because each sells distinct tours, and records the shared footprints on the operator pages.

How to book

Book with the operator, by phone or on their own site. Cairn has no cart, no affiliate links and no booking fee, so the price you see on the operator's page is the price you pay them.

What unverified means here

Most listings launched as compiled records: every fact was read from the operator's own website on the date shown, and nothing was copied from an aggregator. A listing is marked verified only after a human confirms every fact with the operator. If you run one of these companies and something is wrong, send a correction — it is free and needs no account.
