About Cairn

Cairn is published by Sedona Tech Solutions LLC, based in Sedona, Arizona. The editor is Thomas Karl, a Sedona resident and the company's founder — the one person who confirms a fact with an operator and marks a record verified. This page explains who publishes the index, why it exists, how a fact gets published, what is never done, and how to cite a page.

Who publishes this index

Cairn is published by Sedona Tech Solutions LLC, an Arizona limited liability company based in Sedona, Arizona. The editor is Thomas Karl, a Sedona resident and the company's founder — the only person who confirms a fact with an operator by phone or in person and moves a record from compiled to verified. Contact: thomas@sedonatechsolutions.com. This page publishes a city and a contact email and no street address; Cairn is a publishing office, not a storefront a visitor walks into.

Why this exists

A visitor asking an AI assistant, a search engine, or a friend "where does the tour leave from" or "who does plumbing in Sedona" deserves a plain, dated answer, not a guess assembled from whatever a model remembers. Cairn exists to be that answer: one place where what a Sedona business sells, what it costs, and how to reach it is written down, dated, and sourced, in a form both a person and a machine can read without JavaScript.

How a fact gets published

Every record starts the same way: a fact is compiled from the operator's own public website — never an aggregator, never a directory, never a guess — with the exact page it was read from and the date it was read recorded next to it. From there a record climbs a fixed ladder:

  1. Sample. One fabricated record proving the page template. It banners itself as a sample above the fold and is kept out of the index.
  2. Compiled (unverified). A real business, compiled only from its own public website. The page banners itself as compiled and not yet confirmed with the operator.
  3. Verified.Thomas Karl has personally confirmed every fact with the operator, by phone or in person. Only the editor does this, and only after that confirmation is the compiled banner removed.

Correcting an error is free at every step of that ladder, for anyone, whether or not they own the business.

What is never done

Cairn never ranks a business against another, never sells placement or position, never takes a commission on a booking or a sale, and never guesses a fact it cannot source. A price, an address, or an hour Cairn does not publish is recorded as "unknown" — a dated, honest absence — rather than invented. Comparison tables are ordered by listed price, the same rule for every business, and nothing about how an AI assistant might cite this site is ever promised.

How to cite a page

Cite the page URL and the as-of date shown next to the fact you are citing. A fact on Cairn is only as current as that date says it is — the page can lag behind the operator's own site between checks, and the date is exactly how old the fact is.

The data feed

Every fact on this site is also published as a single machine-readable feed — JSON and CSV, generated fresh from the same content files this site is built from, under the licence printed on the terms page. See also how facts are compiled for the exact rules a record has to pass.
