You do not need a guide to stand at a vortex site: the famous spots sit in and around the Coconino National Forest, reachable by ordinary trails and trailhead parking. What the guided operators sell — in their own words on their own sites — is interpretation: energy-work practices, ceremony, site knowledge, and in two cases transport for travellers who cannot drive themselves.
