The swim area, as posted today
As printed on 2026-09-26: “The swim area at Slide Rock State Park has reopened, in coordination with the revised USFS closure order for Oak Creek. Visitors are encouraged to stay informed and prioritize their personal safety while enjoying recreation in the creek.” The page also states the park will not offer apple picking for the fall 2026 season.
Pets
As printed: pets are not allowed in the creek area year-round, and no pets are allowed anywhere in the park between May 1 and September 30.
This is a state park fee, not a Red Rock Pass site
The Forest Service's own Red Rock & Coconino Passes Program page lists Slide Rock State Park as charging a “State Park Entrance Fee,” separate from the Red Rock Pass and the Coconino Hospitality Annual Pass — neither of those Forest Service passes applies here.
