Restrictions, as published

Day use only; camping is not permitted at this site. A maximum vehicle length of 24 ft. is enforced — no RVs, trailers, buses or other oversized vehicles. Campfires and glass containers are not permitted. The page cautions: cliff jumping and diving are discouraged for personal safety, since the pool has varying depths, hidden rocks and unforeseen objects that could be hazardous.

Trails from the parking lot

As published, three trails are accessible from the Grasshopper Point parking lot: Allen's Bend goes north and connects with Casner Canyon Trail, and also goes south and connects with Huckaby Trail.

Not a Red Rock Pass site

The Forest Service's own passes programme page lists Grasshopper Point among the five concessionaire-managed sites that take only the Coconino Hospitality Annual Pass or the gate's daily rate — a Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful Pass does not work here.
